same here, transfer rates from 6 to 700KB/secs. . .all over the place. I am sticking with it if i have to pull an allniter!!1

Its horible! When it connects, it says "downloading at 0.0kb/sec". I did get it to go up to 230kb/sec for about a minute. I have the first 85mb downloaded... 423 hours left, it says now -- Robert Firth Student LSMSA

yes it's slow, very slow, and the connection keeps dropping. Have to keep with it to resume it. Then it takes of for a moment then slows right down again! -- Robyn

Yes, I am really having problems. I only get a network error, and before, it did work fine, then as it progressed to 400 megs, it slowed down and immediatly stopped working!
I think the server has crashed.. but, I do not know..
Could someone test http://download.windowsvista.com/ for us and see if it responds?

Yes, it is, and so is these newsgroups.
I have a 3 MBPS DSL connection and I only get a few KB/s. THAT IS CRAZY!
Seriously, did the download server crash and is trying to recover?
I say it's recovering since the speed is picking up slowly.. but, I wonder what is going on over there..

It's probably just the sheer number of downloaders.....those poor servers are getting a hammering!

Good think I picked up my download link and I'm downloading it in Download Accelerator Premium. ;-)
